Loan
Through the My Account option you can find out which books are on loan and manage reservations and renewals of documents.
DOCUMENTS EXCLUDED FROM LOAN
- Reference works: dictionaries, encyclopedias, catalogues, yearbooks, and the like
- Periodical publications: magazines, newspapers and the like
- Monthly bibliographic news on display
- CD-ROM's and other non-library material (except language learning material)
- Documents with the hallmark excluded from loan (round and red sticker on spine)
LOAN TYPES
Depending on the type of user, the following types of loans are available:User types | Number of documents | Max. days allowed |

In order to borrow a book, the document in question must be handed in at the Information and Loan desk, with the university card of the URL, the IQS Library card or the membership card (alumni).
All loaned documents can be renewed up to a maximum of 4 times if no other user has requested them. To renew the loan of a work of art, you must use My Account or contact the Library by telephone, e-mail or in person.
RESERVATIONS
Any document from the URL Catalogue (except excluded documents) can be reserved by any user who is active and unrestricted (fines, maximum number of loans allowed...), either from the catalog itself (option available upon identification in My Account or by requesting it from the library staff at the Information and Loan counter.
- Bookings of books of any faculty URL can be made
- You can book both available and borrowed books
- You can choose the location for the collection of the reservations
RETURNS
Books must be returned by the indicated return date. Returns will be made at the Library counter or in the return mailbox (at the outside entrance corridor to the Study Room).
IIn the event that this is not complied with temporary sanctions will be applied on the right to use the loan service. The system posts one penalty day for each day and for each document returned after the deadline*:
- 1 document, 3 days late = sanction of 3 days without being able to take any document on loan
- 2 documents, 3 days late = 6 days penalty without being able to take any document on loan
- 1 document, 3 days late = penalty of 15 days not being able to borrow any document
- 1 document, 10 days late = sanction of 50 days without being able to take any document on loan
